Phase 1 info for level cap, abilities, runes, classes, factions and races, movement, inventory, zones, dungeons, raids, PVP, and future phases.
- Level Cap: The level cap for Phase 1 is 25.
- Abilities: Many classes will be missing key abilities at level 25. New abilities are being added through Rune Engravings.
- Runes: Rune Engravings are abilities that can be applied to your gear. They can be applied anytime you're out of combat and are not restricted to any particular role or specialization.
- Classes: Several builds that were previously weak will get a big boost from runes, including Paladin tanks and melee hunters
- Factions and Races: Efforts are being made to equalize the different factions and races so you can play what you want without sacrificing key abilities.
- Movement: Getting around at level 25 will be a matter of running around on foot since mounts won't be accessible until Level 40.
- Inventory: The biggest bag available will have 12 slots and it requires mageweave cloth.
- Zones: You will be able to find quests in the following zones through level 25:
- Elwynn Forest
- Westfall
- Duskwood
- Redridge Mountains (Horde only)
- Teldrassil (Alliance only)
- Darkshore
- Loch Modan
- The Barrens
- Ashenvale
- Dungeons: All of the dungeons that are available at this level are located in single faction zones.
- Raids: The first raid for Season of Discovery is Blackfathom Deeps.
- PVP: One PVP battleground available at level 25: Warsong Gulch. There will also be some brand new PVP content in the form of a Zone wide event in Ashenvale. Arathi Basin is currently assumed to be planned for phase 2.
- Future Phases: Blizzard has hinted at some of the content they have planned for future phases, including revamped vanilla dungeons, new World PVP events, and dual Talent specialization.
Good call out, much easier to acquire than mageweave at that level although 9g isn't nothing at level 25 either.
