Gnomeregan for me. Such an awful maze and a pain to get to as Horde.
Funny how Wailing Caverns is a well-disliked dungeon while it's one of my favorite. It's where you get one of your first good upgrades/greens/blues with limited resources/abilities. The atmosphere is great too imo.
I never liked RFK.
Favorite is a shocker though, Uldaman. My friends used to tell me during leveling that this dungeon was impossible, so I felt a rush when I went in there, got an epic BOE drop and cleared it on the 2nd try.

I hate to piggyback, but I would have to say Gnomeregon.
However, I'd like to say that I LOVE the aesthetic of the dungeon. I love the look, the feel, the massiveness it brought. I just didn't like the monster/trash design. It just fell flat.
The Footpad
I'd say Maraudon too, full runs take so long and people tend to ditch out.
I actually don't mind Sunken Temple, I think some people hate it more than is reasonable because it's often the buggiest dungeon on private servers.
But my most hated dungeons: Wailing Caverns and Uldaman.
*Spits with disgust in the general direction of Gnomeregan, hoping his https://classic.wowhead.com/item=12003/ ... rven-lager https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=27919/spit will hit at least one shitty https://classic.wowhead.com/npc=1211/leper-gnome and splash across his ugly mug*
If I remember correctly. Many, many, many groups would wipe to the hunter boss and of course the last boss. I remember groups trying to ignore the golems and just burning the boss, and dying at sub 10% over and over.
But these are the things I actually liked about it soooooo

Fellow Wailing caverns lover here. There is dozens of us, dozens i say!
Server: Zandalar tribe
It has to be The Stockade. Down right boring, no good loot what-so-ever and should it not be for the quests, you won't get much exp at all.
Damn... There are three... Gnomregean <kek> I hate this one.... WC is so long... Blackfathom Deeps ...
My main issue is just the layout. And I just never found the place fun. /shrugXazrael wrote: ↑5 years agoIf I remember correctly. Kinda the same with WC. Just boring, everything looks the same. All the nelf bosses are the same. Lots of back-tracking.
My least favourite are : Gnomeregan, Stockates and BFD. My top 3 are Sunken Temple, Blackrock Depths and Shadowfang Keep :)
As memorable as they are, I dislike early dungeons like The Deadmines, Wailing Caverns, and Ragefire Chasm simply because that early on people are still learning how to play. They do not know how to play their class, let alone run a difficult dungeon, and its often a slog and folks try to join at too low a level.
Hate is not the right word, but I guess it would be SM graveyard. Not sure why, but I never really ran it and thus never got a connection to it. Maybe I found it boring, or there was a lack of incentive to do it because of few quests or interesting loot. Or maybe I was just busy doing other things elsewhere around this level.
I like tea.
I like most dungeons, but there's one that I really dislike, and that has to be Uldaman. That dungeon is terrible.

I would have to say Deadmines, not because of the design but because of that Smelting room. There are many tanks and any class with cc that don't know how to handle cc'ing the mobs. It could be because its the first dungeon on the alliance side.
Well the problem is that mechanical mobs can't be cc'd except for stun.SentientGypsy wrote: ↑5 years agoI would have to say Deadmines, not because of the design but because of that Smelting room. I should have specified lol getting the polymorph off before they cast the summon golem spell.Gensei wrote: ↑5 years agoWell the problem is that mechanical mobs can't be cc'd except for stun.SentientGypsy wrote: ↑5 years agoI would have to say Deadmines, not because of the design but because of that Smelting room. I would have to say Razorfen Downs, I love its aesthetics and the combination of the Scourge and Quilboar enemies, but I always hate running it.
First and foremost it's just a pain to get there with all the elites at the entrance, and people constantly get lost while looking for that one quest mob that spawns somewhere outside. Then there's the gong that summons the spider boss and its adds, if you're fortunate enough that your curious Hunter didn't hit it before your party is ready, it's still really difficult to deal with all the waves due to them spawning on top of you, which is a huge problem with the lack of sufficient AoE tanking in Vanilla, as the healer can very easily end up pulling aggro. Worst of all is the hill going up to the final boss though, it's a spiral and it just goes on and on and on with the same packs of trash all the way up, if you're lucky there's a rare around the halfway point, but regardless it's like 20 minutes of pure repetition.
It's just not much fun, and there are few levelling dungeons that punish individual mistakes as hard as it (mostly threat related), which can make the mood in the group turn sour, which in turn can result in the group disbanding midway through. It's hugely inferior to its little brother RFK in every way imo.
Gnomeregan without a single doubt.
I like Wailing Caverns, but I've run it so many times... It feels mandatory, especially on a caster to get that fancy blue quest staff. Also the last boss after escort, Mutanus, can be tough to kill without a decent group. So a lot of the times I ran it, I had to skip the last boss and it didn't really feel like I finished the dungeon. Kinda dislike that.

Van Darkholme's one is pretty deep, hence the grit it takes to explore it in full.
In any case, keep your hands up !

Not gonna lie, Van Darkholme can and should be a WoW NPC with that name.HauntOwnHideous wrote: ↑5 years agoVan Darkholme's one is pretty deep, hence the grit it takes to explore it in full.

That would take a rather unruly slave to even begin to debate the rightness of such a necessary tribute.Gensei wrote: ↑5 years agoNot gonna lie, Van Darkholme can and should be a WoW NPC with that name.HauntOwnHideous wrote: ↑5 years agoVan Darkholme's one is pretty deep, hence the grit it takes to explore it in full.

Besides, "Adventurer's next door" is coming in full force this summer. Be sure to not miss out.
